ORANGEBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WIS) - An Orangeburg County father was arrested after allegedly threatning his underage son who asked for a meal.
The Orangeburg County Sheriff’s Office said 44-year-old Thomas Baker was arrested on Nov. 22 and charged with unlawful conduct toward a child.
The sheriff’s office said deputies were called to a home on Beason Road, where Baker wanted his 11-year-old son removed from the property. The father claimed his son was being “unruly” and that he was tired of the child “not listening.”
His son, however, told deputies he asked Baker for something to eat multiple times - but was met with profanity-laced tirades and threats.
According to warrants, Baker allegedly called his son names and told the boy to stab himself in the throat.
