Edmonton police investigating the death of a man found dead in central Edmonton on Friday has been ruled a homicide.
Around 8:50 p.m. on Nov. 21, downtown patrol officers were in the area of 97 Street and 107 Avenue when they discovered a man dead, and homicide detectives took over the investigation, said police in a news release.
On Tuesday, an autopsy was performed, and it was determined that Burton Lee Gambler, 42, died as a result of a homicide.
Homicide detectives didn’t release Gambler’s cause of death, but they did say that he had suffered “obvious injuries” that led to his death.
Police are asking anyone with surveillance video or who witnessed the incident to contact the EPS at 780-423-4567.
