Deborah Tincha of Butler wasn’t planning to visit Walmart in Butler Township on Wednesday, Nov. 26, but when she decided to go to buy some parsley, she ended up with a gaggle of cheap turkeys instead.

She said the store was out of parsley, but she bought some other items and went to the checkout where she noticed other shoppers with numerous turkeys in their shopping carts.

An accommodating cashier told her the turkeys had been priced at a bargain price of 15 cents a pound.

She said she went to the grocery section and tracked down the cheap birds.

“I got three turkeys for $5.87,” Tincha said. “They were marked in an end cap at 15 cents per pound, and... people were just loading up with turkeys.”
