Tom Waits is a generational talent whose writing, music, and acting will earn him a place in the pantheon of American entertainment gods—his name deserves to be spoken in the same tone reserved for talking about the Hemingways, Aretha Franklins, and Robert Redfords of this world. I am willing to die upon this hill.
