The Detroit Lions’ offensive line is about to get a major boost ahead of the final push for the playoffs.
The Lions announced on Wednesday that star centre Frank Ragnow is coming out of retirement and rejoining the team.
Ragnow, 29, is a four-time Pro Bowler who spent seven seasons with the Lions before retiring last off-season.
He started all 16 games for the Lions last season as they posted an NFL-best 15-2 record before being upset by the Washington Commanders in the division round of the playoffs.
The Lions enter Thursday’s Thanksgiving Day matchup with the Green Bay Packers third in the NFC North Division with a 7-4 record. It’s unclear when Ragnow will be available to return to the field.
