We know that two National Guard members were shot two blocks northwest of the White House.
A suspect who was in custody also was shot and had wounds that were not believed to be life-threatening.

We do not currently know the conditions of the National Guard members killed. West Virginia Gov. Patrick Morrisey originally stated that the two guardsmen had been killed, but later walked back his statement and said he was receiving conflicting reports about their conditions.
