Call The Midwife’s boss Heidi Thomas has snubbed big-money deals to make shows for streaming services.
The writer wants to keep working with the BBC because she thinks the corporation is top notch.
She said: “I get wonderful opportunities from streamers… constantly.”
It comes after the Daily Star reported that the show's stars struggled to cope with hot weather when they filmed this year’s Christmas special in Hong Kong. Many of them had to wear lots of layers even thought it was balmy weather.
