FORT JACKSON, S.C. (WOLO)– At Fort Jackson many are enjoying a Thanksgiving feast, a day early.

More than ten thousand trainees and soldiers at Fort Jackson sat down to a meal with turkey and all the fix-ins.

To make the meal extra special, unit leadership including commanding officers serve the trainees and soldiers their food.

Wednesday’s meal, of course, included plenty of treats for the trainees including more than 5 thousand pies.
