SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) - If you want to earn those Thanksgiving calories early Thursday, a Springfield tradition is back for the 31st year so you can do just that.
The 5k race around Springfield starts at 8 a.m. with plenty of fun costumes, festive people, and even some dogs running too.
“It’s easy to think of Thanksgiving as a day where we all just sit around and wait for lunch to be ready,” said Jenny Fillmer Edwards with the Springfield-Greene County Park Board, “and then we lay around and watch football and it’s sort of a lazy day.
