PEORIA ( 25News Now ) - Two people were killed in a fire that devastated a Bloomington home on Wednesday morning.

Firefighters said that at about 7:30 a.m., crews were called to a home in the 1200 block of Eastholme Avenue. When they arrived, crews saw smoke pouring out of the home.

While extinguishing the fire, crews searched the home and found two people dead inside. An autopsy is underway, and identities are being withheld until next of kin are notified.

Extensive smoke and water damage and massive fire damage covered what was left of the home, firefighters said.

The investigation into the deadly fire continues.
