MADISON (WKOW) -- A rideshare vehicle full of passengers experienced a terrifying moment when a man pointed a gun at them on Friday.
The incident occurred around 8:30 p.m. near University Avenue and North Francis Street, according to the Madison Police Department .
The group of women flagged down an officer near State Street and North Broom Street, claiming they were being followed by an armed man. The suspect approached their vehicle twice while they drove on University Avenue.
As officers investigated, the suspect collided with a car at Johnson Street and Wisconsin Avenue. Authorities are currently reviewing digital evidence related to the case.
Police said probable cause has been established to arrest the driver for disorderly conduct while armed and carrying a concealed weapon. T
