WASHINGTON — The suspect alleged to have shot two members of the West Virginia National Guard in D.C. has been identified as Rahmanullah Lakanwal, an Afghan national, according to reporting from CBS News.
Lakanwal was taken into custody with what were described by authorities as non-life-threatening wounds.
The two members of the West Virginia National Guard, who were reported to be in critical condition as of Wednesday evening, were injured when a gunman opened fire while they were on a patrol near the White House, authorities said.
