Jenny McCarthy has been to hell and back this past year because of a recurring mouth infection from a failed ceramic dental implant that led to a slew of ongoing medical issues.

The 53-year-old actress and TV personality opened up about the gruesome health scare that caused her teeth to fall out and led to growths on her eyeballs .

“I’ve had nine surgeries this year, on my mouth,” she told People magazine. “I had one infection that turned into another and another, and then I had these growths show up on my eyeballs.”

McCarthy added that after her teeth and implants started falling out, doctors dug into her jawbone and eventually uncovered a deep bone infection.

“I’ve been on antibiotics for a year, and have had to eat soft foods only,” she said.
