Thanksgiving is a day to celebrate family coming together, and the NFL has a full day of football scheduled.

The NFL will celebrate the late John Madden during its tripleheader, airing a Madden Hallmark at the start of each broadcast.

“There’s no place I’d rather be on Thanksgiving than right here, right now, at a football game,” Madden says. “There’s just certain things that go together, the turkey, the family, the tradition, football, and we have it all today.”

Each network will select a Madden Thanksgiving MVP who will receive a $10,000 donation from the NFL Foundation to be given to a high school or youth football program in their name. For the second consecutive year, the NFL will benefit the John Madden Foundation by auctioning off game-used items from the three Thanksgiving Day
