SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Snow and strong winds are expected to create challenging travel conditions during one of the busiest Thanksgiving travel periods in over a decade.
AAA predicts 73 million travelers will hit the roads this Thanksgiving holiday, with 2 million from Indiana. The FAA predicts this to be the busiest Thanksgiving for air travel in more than 10 years.
The Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has already started treating roads in anticipation of the winter weather.
