A Sherwood man was fatally shot Tuesday evening north of North Little Rock, and a suspect was taken into custody, according to the Pulaski County sheriff's office.

Deputies responded to a reported shooting in the area of 10804 Jacksonville-Cato Road around 5:55 p.m. Tuesday. They reported finding Larry Wohner, 39, lying on the pavement where Falcon Drive meets Jacksonville-Cato Road, the sheriff's office said in a Facebook post.

A suspect, who was not identified in the post, was taken into custody at the scene, the post says. A spokesperson for the sheriff's office didn't respond to a phone message seeking further information on Wednesday.
