Thursday marks the anniversary of the Piedmont Tesla Cybertruck crash that killed three college students visiting home last Thanksgiving.

The pain of last year’s tragedy is still raw and felt deeply across Piedmont — from family and friends of the three students to complete strangers.

“These were great kids who had a really unfortunate accident and it’s all something that we hold and we miss,” resident Brian Crandall said.

The crash site on Hampton Avenue on Wednesday was turned into a temporary memorial marking the anniversary.
