Easton Area’s bonfire returns after last year’s long-standing tradition was canceled due to a Northampton County burn ban and concerns over public safety.
This year the bonfire went off with no issue Wednesday as high school students and members of the Easton community gathered to enjoy it.
The evening festivities kicked off with the Red Rover Marching Band greeting fans, as they paraded into the high school parking lot after dark.
This year’s seniors spent the day before building what would become their bonfire.
Selected seniors were given torches and positioned in various spots around the wood pile to light it on fire, as the crowd looked on behind the high school in Palmer Township.
Check out the gallery above as students and the community came together for a memorable night.
