Cold, sunny Thanksgiving ahead with two very chilly nights and a weekend system bringing the chance for rain or a wintry mix.
Showers Move Out, Winds Pick Up, and Temperatures Drop
We started the day under clouds with a few lingering showers, but all of that pushed out by late morning. Behind the rain came very gusty winds , which stuck around through the afternoon thanks to a strong pressure gradient behind the departing system. Temperatures reached the low to mid 50s early this morning— that was our high for the day —and then began to fall steadily throughout the afternoon, eventually dropping into the 30s .
Breezy conditions will continue tonight as colder air funnels into the region. Overnight lows drop into the mid 20s to low 30s , setting the stage for a cold stretch hea
