ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) — Are you doing the cooking for Thanksgiving this year?
Data from booking app Open Table shows Thanksgiving Day dinner reservations are up 13% year over year.
“Thanksgiving Day is our second busiest day of the year,” said Tina Leftwich, general manager at Mary Mac’s Tea Room.
Mary Mac’s Tea Room is one of the restaurants in Atlanta that will keep their doors open for the holiday.
“I think it’s just giving everybody an opportunity to focus on each other and not actually focus on cooking, cleaning up or having to serve anybody,” said Leftwich.
They spent the day before serving precooked meals for customers to reheat at home.
“I have three young kids under the age of five and knew with family coming, it’d be too stressful for me to cook this year,” said
