PHOENIX — A man is dead after police responded to a Phoenix shooting where two men were found injured, authorities said Wednesday.

Police arrived near 19th and Roosevelt Streets after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, and both men were found with gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to the hospital, and one was pronounced dead once there. He was later identified as 20-year-old Zarion Lavel Davis.

The second man is recovering at the hospital, and detectives plan to interview him once he’s released, according to Phoenix PD Sgt. Lorraine Fernandez.

An investigation is underway.
