OTTAWA — Ottawa Charge captain Brianne Jenner had two goals and two assists in a 5-1 win over the Vancouver Goldeneyes on Wednesday night.
Mannon McMahon, Anna Meixner and Rebecca Leslie also scored as Ottawa (1-0-0-1) responded after being shut out 4-0 by the New York Sirens in their season opener.
Rory Guilday and Gabbie Hughes had two assists, and Gwyneth Philips made 18 saves.
Claire Thompson scored the lone goal for Vancouver (0-1-0-1) and former Charge netminder Emerance Maschmeyer stopped 30 shots.
The expansion franchise won its first game 4-3 in overtime over the Seattle Torrent on Friday.
A strong third period capped a solid night for Ottawa. Leslie made no mistake in the early minutes, beating Maschmeyer to give the Charge a 3-0 lead.
