REDMOND, Wash. – A newly-released video has shown how a drone pilot was instrumental in locating an elderly man who crashed his bike.

Police in Redmond received a 911 call earlier this month from a man who was groaning in pain but unable to speak.

Officers used a drone to pinpoint his exact location along a river trail.

First responders then found the man and took him to the hospital where he was treated for multiple injuries.

The use of drone technology played a crucial role in the swift response and successful rescue effort.
