Officials of Northgate Gonzalez Market and local dignitaries were on hand Nov. 12 for the grand opening of the chain’s newest store in Lynwood. The new store features an expanded lineup of services and departments, including fresh tamales made daily in house, pastries and sweet breads, a meat market and authentic Mexican chile and spices.

LYNWOOD — Northgate González Market opened the doors of its newest store in Lynwood Nov. 12.
As mariachi music filled the room, the family-owned grocery chain celebrated the occasion with a special reception for the community.
The new 36,974-square-foot supermarket, located at 11630 Long Beach Blvd., features murals on inside and exterior walls painted by local artist Levi Ponce. The Lynwood location stands on a site
