Assurance Home in Roswell, a live-in refuge for young people who have experienced displacement due to family trauma or other circumstances, is known for its peaceful and beautiful campus.
Recently, the beauty of the campus was enhanced by the addition of an enclosed gazebo which once stood on the porch of the Tinnie Silver Dollar in Tinnie. Assurance Home Director Ron Malone said the gazebo was donated to the home several years ago by the late Roswell restaurateur Jeff Wilson, who owned the Tinnie restaurant and saloon at one time.
“Wilson said he would have somebody put it together,” Malone said.
Unfortunately, Wilson passed away before he was able to have the work done. For years, the disassembled gazebo sat in a garage, Malone said.
