CHICO, Calif. - A Oroville man was taken into custody by the Plumas County Sheriff's Office in connection to the robbery of the Motel 6 in Chico on Monday.
The Chico Police Department says that at around 11:45 p.m. on Monday night, a man approached the front desk clerk at the Motel 6 located on Manzanita Court in Chico and demanded cash, telling the clerk that he had a firearm.
Authorities say that the male suspect stole cash from the register and took off on foot. Patrol officers arrived at the Motel 6 shortly after the robbery but were unable to find the suspect.
On Tuesday, a still image of the robbery suspect that was taken from surveillance video at Motel 6 was shared by the Chico Police Department on social media.
