Scott Donaldson paid tribute to his late father after he produced an incredible comeback to qualify for the UK Championship .
Up against 2015 World Champion Stuart Bingham , Donaldson put personal grief aside as he recovered from 5-0 down to claim a thrilling 6-5 win in the final round of qualifying.
Just weeks after the death of his father, Hector, the Scot revealed he was already considering his drive home when he found himself 4-0 down in the clash.
Bingham was in total control at the mid-session interval, before a break of 117 on resumption put him within one frame of victory.
But this inspired a thrilling turnaround from Donaldson, who then got on the board with a break of 56 in the sixth frame.
