LIBERTY TWP., Mercer Co., Pa. - A Grove City woman is dead after she was hit by a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon.

According to a crash report from Mercer County PSP, the crash happened on Center Church Road near Amsterdam Road in Liberty Township near Grove City just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Police say 68-year-old Melissa Biddle of Grove City was walking along the roadway when a pickup truck driven by 89-year-old Alfred Craig of Grove City hit her from behind while turning right onto Center Church Road.

Biddle was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. She was later pronounced dead in the hospital.

Craig did not suffer any injuries, but his pickup truck sustained minor passenger side damage.
