Over the last 30 years, Home Alone has climbed to the top of the festive movie pantheon, and is now a must-watch for millions the world over in the lead-up to Christmas .

Even its sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost In New York is revered by manu as a seasonal classic (although admittedly these days there’s one bit we do have to avert our eyes during ), but the numerous spin-offs that have followed in the years since haven’t exactly lived up to the original films’ classic status.

However, its original lead, former child star Macaulay Culkin , has admitted he has his own ideas about how to reboot the series – and we have to admit we’re kind of here for it.
