John Madden is an absolute legend who had multiple careers in football, from coaching a Super Bowl team to becoming one of the greatest broadcasters to enjoying turducken on Thanksgiving.
And it's that annual Thursday holiday on which the NFL has decided to continue honoring Madden. In 2022, there were Madden field logos and helmet decals on Thanksgiving, and the last couple of years, teams wore special patches to honor Madden.
In 2025? It's happening again.
There will be Madden tributes on the three broadcasts, and all six teams playing will wear Madden patches on their uniforms. There will also be a Madden trophy for the MVP of each game, and the coins for the coin toss will pay tribute.
