Chiefs at Cowboys picks and predictions
Prediction
Chiefs 27, Cowboys 20
Against the spread
Play the Chiefs -3.5 (-105) on the road - but think about adjusting the spread to -3. Dak Prescott gives Dallas a puncher's chance against any team, but the Cowboys have been far too inconsistent this season, and their Week 12 upset over Philadelphia is the Cowboys' only win against a team with a winning record.
Despite their struggles this season, the Chiefs still have an excellent defense (4th in total points allowed) and need a win to solidify their Wild Card position - especially with tougher games against the Texans and Chargers coming up.
Against teams outside of playoff position this season (Giants, Raiders, Commanders), the Chiefs have won by an average of 21.6 points - though the Cowboys are a level above any of those teams.
Over/Under
Under 52.5 (-110) is worth a look on Thanksgiving Day. The Chiefs have gone under that total in five of their last six games, and the Cowboys have gone under 52.5 in three straight. The acquisition of Quinnen Williams has bolstered the Cowboys' defense significantly in recent weeks, so this shouldn't be a shootout game.
