An Edinburgh TV presenter has opened up on his health after discovering a small lump. David Cowan, 58, discovered the 'wine gum sized' growth just weeks after his 50th birthday .
The BBC journalist soon booked an appointment with his GP , and feels his quick action may have saved his life. After testing, doctors confirmed the lump was cancerous.
As it was found early, David was told there was a 90 per cent chance of the treatment being successful. While the process was difficult, and led to him being off work for six months, David feels it was 'worth it'.
