WASHINGTON — Singer-songwriter Jackson Browne is mourning the death of his son, Ethan Browne, a model, actor and father of two.

Ethan died Tuesday at age 52, the musician announced in a statement shared Wednesday on Facebook .

“It is with deep sorrow that we share that on the morning of November 25, 2025, Ethan Browne, the son of Jackson Browne and Phyllis Major, was found unresponsive in his home and has passed away,” the statement said. “We ask for privacy and respect for the family during this difficult time. No further details are available at this moment.”

Ethan was the only child of Browne and Major, who married in 1975. Major died by suicide the following year at 30, when Ethan was still a toddler.
