In an emotional scene on Thursday evening, hundreds of Partizan Belgrade supporters gathered at Nikola Tesla Airport to welcome head coach Željko Obradović following the announcement of his resignation from the club, that has been rejected by the club’s Executive Board

Obradović, widely regarded as one of Europe’s greatest basketball coaches and a beloved figure in Serbian sports, announced that he was stepping down.

The news sent shockwaves through the Partizan fanbase, prompting an outpouring of support that culminated in a massive reception upon his arrival in Belgrade from Athens, where Partizan played against Panathinaikos last Tuesday.
