Hundreds gather in Keswick for 97th Blessing of the Hounds

KESWICK, Va. (CBS19 NEWS) — Hundreds of people gathered at Grace Episcopal Church on Thanksgiving morning for a tradition that has been part of the Keswick community for nearly a century. The church hosted its 97th Blessing of the Hounds, an annual event that brings together the Keswick Hunt Club, local families and visitors from across the region while raising money for local nonprofits.

“This community event brings in so many people — residents here, but also a lot of people from out of town,” said Stephanie Schellenberger. “We’re able through our charity to give back to our area in support of the programs that do so much for our residents.”
