WEST LAFAYETTE — It remains a stain on Purdue football 's program what happened one year ago.

Indiana , a program with a history of losing, beat the Boilermakers 66-0 on its way to a College Football Playoff appearance under its first-year head coach.

One day later, Purdue was in the process of hiring its own new head coach in hopes of a quick turnaround.

Now entering the final game of the 2025 season, the Boilers realize it's not as easy as Curt Cignetti made it look with the Hoosiers.

"IU has had a great year, a great couple years," Purdue offensive coordinator Josh Henson said. "They are doing a really good job. Their guys play hard. They are playing well. We've got to go play the way I know we can play."
