The Minnesota Vikings are facing some notable quarterback uncertainty heading into Sunday's Week 13 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

Starting quarterback J.J. McCarthy is progressing through the NFL 's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury in this past weekend's loss to the Green Bay Packers, and veteran signal caller Carson Wentz is out for the remainder of the season with a left shoulder injury.

Undrafted rookie Max Brosmer is expected to make his first career start in Sunday's clash against the Seahawks. And up until Thursday afternoon, he was the only healthy quarterback option on the Minnesota depth chart.

The Vikings announced a notable quarterback move on Thursday, signing Desmond Ridder to the practice squad.
