KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Knoxville Area Rescue Ministries (KARM) hosted its annual Thanksgiving celebration on Thursday, which included a free Thanksgiving lunch and activities free to the public.
For some of the volunteers, they look forward to it every year.
“This has been a family tradition for us. Every Thanksgiving, it’s something that we do before we get our own Thanksgiving started. To give back to the community and just be reminders of how grateful we are for all the opportunities and privileges that we have,” said volunteers Aashi and Anusha Vora.
Events like the Thanksgiving Celebration can be crucial for those who are not able to be with friends and family today.
