INDIANAPOLIS — IMPD is investigating after a juvenile was critically injured in what police are calling an "accidental, self-inflicted" shooting.

According to IMPD, around 4:09 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 27, officers were called to the 5200 block of Corgan Way , which is near Kentucky Avenue, on a report of a person shot.

When officers arrived, they found a juvenile victim who had been shot. EMS arrived on scene and transported the juvenile to an area hospital in critical condition.

Police say the shooting was an "accidental, self-inflicted gunshot incident."
