WASHINGTON, D.C. - Governor Patrick Morrisey arrived in Washington, D.C. last night to receive real time updates on the two West Virginia National Guard members who were critically injured in Wednesday’s shooting near the White House. The Governor also visited with Guard members, their families, and the troops on the ground.
“I’m asking every West Virginian to pray for our two Guardsmen as their families, friends, and neighbors struggle with this unspeakable tragedy,” Governor Morrisey said. “These two Guardsmen voluntarily stepped up and risked everything for our state and nation - they are our protectors and some of the most courageous West Virginians you could possibly imagine.”
