ALLEGAN COUNTY, Mich. — Deputies believe alcohol is a factor in a crash that left one person dead and several others injured in Allegan County on Thursday afternoon.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff's Office (ACSO), around 1:30 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a report of a head-on crash on 142nd Avenue near 41st Street in Overisel Township.
When deputies arrived, they found that a pickup truck and passenger car had crashed into each other head-on just west of the intersection.
Deputies said the front-seat passenger of the passenger car was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the car received minor injuries.
ACSO said both back seat passengers of the car were taken to local hospitals for their injuries. A woman is listed as being in critical condition and a 14-month-old
