Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom, 20, one of the two victims in the Washington, D.C. shooting on Wednesday, has passed away, President Donald Trump said Thursday, according to Fox News and The New York Post.

“He just announced that one of those guardsmen, the female, Sarah Beckstrom, the 20 year old from West Virginia, has passed away,” a Fox News anchor announced Thursday.

The suspected shooter was later identified to be Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan man who was arrested shortly after the incident.

Lakanwal reportedly used a .357 revolver to shoot two National Guard members – 24-year-old Air Force Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe and Beckstrom. Wolfe remains in critical condition.
