LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

West Louisville’s beloved Thanksgiving tradition, the Juice Bowl, marked its 75th year Thursday at Shawnee Park, drawing families, friends, and neighbors for a celebration that felt bigger than ever.

“This is everything. We got the vendors back. We got people with food trucks, baby. This is good,” said attendee Libby Mack, beaming on the sidelines as teams took the field.

For Mack, the day was personal.

“My grandson is Isaiah Mack, No. 5. It’s the third generation playing down in the Juice Bowl. I’m super, super excited. And they won, he’s going in his dad’s footsteps," she said.

For lifelong west Louisville residents like June Howard, the tradition is a homecoming.
