The airline has delivered a major boost for the Scottish airport , basing a seventh aircraft there and launching four new routes, writes Business Editor Ian McConnell.

The UK country manager of easyJet was upbeat about the prospects for further expansion of flights in Scotland when I interviewed him earlier this month.
And it did not take long for the details of what is a major boost to Glasgow Airport from easyJet to emerge.
The news came in two stages.
Last week, easyJet announced four new routes from Glasgow for summer 2026, “to popular beach and city-break destinations”: Pisa in Italy, Lisbon in Portugal, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt, and Malta. It
