OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - Today is the first of three First Alert 6 Weather Days that will dominate the weather story this weekend.

Today we’ll watch snow move in from the north and pass over our northern counties after 9am then slide into our Iowa counties for the afternoon and evening. Overall the amounts should be pretty light with temperatures that stay below freezing.

That means we should avoid snow for the game in Lincoln. Likely won’t have anything more than flurries but it will be cold with increase wind. Gusts could top 20 mph by the end of the game.

Later tonight we’ll see the moisture fill in better and bring the risk of freezing drizzle to the area. A light glaze of ice is possible anywhere in the area overnight before we change over to snow entirely by sunrise Saturday.
