GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Gainesville High's Red Elephants football team was out Friday morning practicing, even though they have no game immediately scheduled.
They're due to face Langston Hughes in the Class AAAAA quarterfinals , but the back-and-forth saga over 30+ suspensions handed to Gainesville over a fight in their previous round's game against Brunswick has thrown a wrench into things.

That's because the quarterfinal game is postponed with no fixed date for it to be played, as the Georgia High School Association is appealing an injunction that Gainesville won this week in court to lift the suspensions.
The judge notified the GHSA at Wednesday's hearing they could try to seek an appeal
