A man was arrested after barricading himself inside a home and exchanging gunfire with an Iowa State Patrol trooper in Butler County.

The incident began around 9:10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 27, when the Butler County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from someone reporting that a man was shooting into their residence and that several people were trapped inside.
