PITTSBURGH —
An investigation is underway after the death of a 9-month-old from earlier this year was ruled a homicide on Friday.
According to a report from the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office, Lena Bedri died on April 27 at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh due to the combination of the antidepressants Celexa and Lexapro, and the drug Verapamil, which is used to treat cardiovascular issues. Advertisement
Officials said Bedri died at 3:54 a.m., an hour after an incident on the 200 block of Cobblestone Drive in Ohio Township. Her death was ruled a homicide on Friday.
