The Killeen Police Department located more than a quarter pound of marijuana during a search of an individual with an active warrant on Monday, according to a Facebook post by the department earlier this week.

According to KPD, “While patrolling together, the officer spotted a familiar face power-walking down the sidewalk, the kind of overly confident walk that screams, ‘I really hope nobody remembers I have a warrant.’”

KPD stated in the post that the office recognized the individual as having an active warrant on a charge of assault causing bodily injury – family member. The officer made contact with the individual and confirmed the warrant.

“During the search incident to arrest, one officer located 5.5 ounces of marijuana,” KPD said in the post.
