Four teenagers charged with first-degree murder in the death of Calgary teen could face adult sentences if convicted.
At a court appearance on Friday, prosecutor Vicki Faulkner notified youth court Justice Richard O’Gorman of the Crown’s intention to seek adult sentences for the three 15-year-olds and one 16-year-old if the boys are found guilty.
In the early morning hours of Aug. 1, 2025, Carter Spivak-Villeneuve, 16, was found dead in the northeast community of Abbeydale.
Police have said they believe there was an “ongoing dispute” between the victim and the accused.
